Standard Firmware - 1x 72-MHz Modulator
The standard firmware of the DTA-2115B implements a universal modulator with 72-MHz bandwidth, agile over VHF, UHF and L-band. A block diagram of this firmware is shown below. Special features include GPS synchronization to 1-pps and 10-MHz inputs, and phase noise emulation.
Firmware Option - 8x 8-MHz Modulators
The DTC-385-HW8CH option, also included in DTA-2115B-GOLD, enables the 8x 8-MHz firmware variant (select with DtInfo). It contains 8 independent 8-MHz modulators that can be set to different (or the same) modulation standards, e.g. 2x DVB-T2, 2x DVB-C, 3x ATSC and 1x ISDB-T.
Each of the 8 modulators is fully agile over the VHF and UHF band. The carriers can be positioned anywhere in this band, independent of each other. The picture below shows an example of an actual spectrum of 8 DVB-C carriers between 400 and 600MHz.
DTU-315 – All-standard all-band modulator for USB-3
The portable variant of the DTA-2115B: Easy to install and easy to carry to demos and around the lab.
The DTU-315 uses all-digital modulation and upconversion, similar to the DTA-2115B. However, as the DTU-315 is bus powered, it has a reduced maximum output level (-25dBm vs 0dBm for DTA-2115B).
DTA-2107 – Multi-standard satellite modulator for PCIe
Satellite-only modulator with support for satellite standards DVB-S, DVB-S2 and ISDB-S. The DTA-2107 does not support DVB-S2X, for that standard the DTA-2115B or DTU-315 is required.
The DTA-2107 is a low-profile PCIe card, while the DTA-2115B is standard profile. If you need satellite modulation without S2X, then the DTA-2107 is a cost-effective alternative to the all-standard DTA-2115B.
DTA-2111 – Multi-standard cable/terrestrial modulator for PCIe
Cable terrestrial modulator with VHF/UHF output. The DTA-2111 does not support ATSC 3.0, nor satellite standards such as DVB-S2.
Like the DTA-2107, the DTA-2111 is low profile. The price point of the DTA-2111, compared to the DTA-2115B is very attractive, making it an excellent choice for OEM applications with cable or terrestrial modulation.
