Features

  • A universal bi-directional parallel port for RX and TX of 8-bit data with valid and sync signals at clock rates up to 108MHz.
  • The parallel port supports several modes, including DVB-SPI with boosted clock range, transport stream with fixed clock and valid, serial with explicit clock and BT.656 for uncompressed SD video.
  • Support for an external clock input that can be used as master clock for the serial and/or parallel port.
  • The BCN connector on the bracket can be used as serial port (by default) or as external clock input by reconnecting a coax cable to the external clock input MCX connector.
  • Selectable I/O standard, either M-LVDS or LVTTL with on-board short-circuit detection on the parallel port.

Applications

  • A general purpose lab card for generating and capturing of (un)compressed digital video and other 8b or 10b signals.
  • For use in a universal stream station.
  • In combination with MuxXpert you can real-time multiplex streams.
