DTA-107 - QPSK Modulator and L-Band Upconverter for PCI Bus

At IBC’2004, DekTec introduces the DTA-107, a complete DVB-S (QPSK) modulator and L-Band upconverter on a short PCI card. The RF output is available on two F-connectors and can be connected directly to a digital satellite receiver.
The product can serve as a QPSK-modulator replacement in many applications that involve set-top boxes, including signal validation, production-testing, repair, hardware/software development and demos. Another interesting application is low-cost digital-video distribution by letting the DTA-107 feed a collection of set-tops through an L-Band network.
The DTA-107 supports a wide range of symbol rates: at the low end down to 88 kBd, at the high end up to 45 MBd. The RF frequency is software-programmable between 0.95 and 2.15 GHz.

DTU-205 - FantASI USB-2 ASI/SDI Output Adapter

The DTU-205 is a USB-2 adapter for outputting ASI or SDI signals. Like DekTec’s successful input counterpart (DTU-225), this FantASI adapter has been designed to draw power from the USB-2 connection - no AC adapter is required. Measuring about the size of a deck of cards, this little device fits nearly anywhere and is easily stowed alongside a notebook.
FantASI devices are ideal for mobile applications, e.g. portable demo setups. They can also be used as an easily-installable replacement of a PCI I/O adapter. Multiple FantASI adapters can be connected to the same PC, enabling combinations of in- and outputs.

DTA-124 - Quad ASI/SDI Input Adapter for PCI Bus

This new PCI card supports four ASI/SDI input channels on a single-slot short PCI card. The inputs accept either ASI or SDI, independently programmable for each input. When used in a 66-MHz PCI bus, the board can sustain four 270-Mbit/s SDI streams.
Typical applications of the DTA-124 include (re-)multiplexing of MPEG-2 transport streams and monitoring of multiple ASI and/or SDI streams.
The DTA-124 shares the same software interface with DekTec’s other input adapters through the DTAPI library. This means that applications written for one of DekTec’s other input adapters can be easily migrated to the DTA-124, and vice-versa.

New Version of StreamXpert Transport-Stream Analyser Software

The new version of the StreamXpert software has been extended with full ATSC/PSIP support. The video decoding has been enhanced with the capability to decode H264 / MPEG-4 elementary streams, with WM9-support to follow quickly. The StreamXpert can be used as a stream monitor by taking advantage of the feature to log TR 101 290 error events.
Under the hood, the StreamXpert has been improved to consume considerably less memory and processing resources. The StreamXpert supports all DekTec’s input devices, including DTA-120/124/140 (DVB-ASI), DTA-122 (DVB-SPI) and, on USB-2, the DTU-225 ASI/SDI Input Adapter.
